I Am Boycotting Lowe’s and Kayak.com

I am making the decision to boycott Lowe’s and Kayak.com, not because I am a Muslim; I am not. I was born and raised a devout Catholic. I am appalled by Lowe’s and kayak.com’s decision to pull its advertising from the TLC show All-American Muslim based on a very small minority of hypocrites who say the show is hiding the true message of the show. What?? Are they crazy? Every single person in this country with the exception of Native Americans came here with their own customs and religious beliefs. Many ran from persecution. So, now based on a small minority these people have run into the arms of persecution. That is not the America I am proud to call my country.

I see this show as being educational and hopefully will dispel the propaganda that Muslims are bad. Being a Muslim does not go hand in hand with being a terrorist! Really, how can people be so narrow-minded? Just a look at the cast and you will see some pretty impressive people. You have a law enforcement officer, a football coach and a federal agent along with a list of very impressive women. What is so threatening about that? The football coach went to the White House and met President Obama. Doesn’t anyone think he and the federal agent had to go through some pretty high level security clearance?

I have watched the show a few times and I think the cast is quite likeable, ordinary, but likeable. It really is a shame that the cast of All-American Muslim is so normal. It’s terrible that they are just like you and I. It really stinks that they live ordinary, everyday lives and have regular jobs. (This is dripping with sarcasm)

Why does the narrow-minded minority have so much say? It’s time to stand up and let Lowe’s and Kayak.com know that, as an American, we won’t allow this type of prejudice toward another.
